EMC Solar Limited trading as Energy Made Clean was established in 2004 to develop and deploy solar opportunities in Australia. EMC is a registered Australian Pooled Development Fund (PDF) providing a tax advantaged investment vehicle.

EMC acquired 25 year old Solar Sales Pty Ltd (Australias largest PV systems integrator) in May 2004 and successfully sold the business to SunPower Corporation, a leading USA-based solar panel systems supplier in July 2008. In May of 2011 EMC acquired HAC Australia, a well respected consultancy delivering practical commercial solutions to energy and carbon issues. Also in May 2011 EMC acquired a Western Australian retail electricity license to allow the safe supply of energy to customers connected to the WA grid (SWIS).
