How it Works

EMC Power is a licensed supplier of electricity. Our business is to supply electricity from renewable energy sources that we install on our customers' premises.

Our proposal is to build, own and operate a solar panel array on your premises. The entire supply, installation and maintenance of the solar array will be at our expense.

In return we ask you to enter into an Electricity Supply Agreement (ESA) to purchase electricity generated from our solar power generators. This amount of electricity will be less than your total needs so the agreement will not be in conflict with your existing retailer arrangements.

EMC Power will sell this electricity at a price lower than the competition, or as an option we can offer you a fixed price over the full 15 years. This allows you to budget for no increase.

To protect our investment in the installation, we require the term of this arrangement to be 15 years from the date of commissioning. At the conclusion of this contract there will be an option to renew your agreement with EMC Power.

EMC Power is a service-orientated company that will work with your staff to ensure the design and installation suits your specific requirements. In addition, EMC will maintain the equipment in good working order throughout the life of the agreement.

Third-party ownership of electricity generation assets is a common and successful business arrangement overseas, but is new to the Australian market. EMC Power has adopted all that is good about existing agreements and tailored them to the needs of Australian businesses.

Summary of Terms

Electricity Supply Equipment
EMC Power will supply, install and maintain a 30 kW PV solar system on your commercial premises.

Electricity Supply Charge
The electricity supply charge will be set at the beginning of the term. This rate will then be adjusted each year so that it remains equal to the guaranteed discount, at a percentage lower than the current competition. As an option we can offer you a fixed price for a 15 year period.

Ownership of Equipment
EMC Power will retain ownership of the energy generation equipment. 

Term of Supply
The agreement will be initially for a 15 year term with an option to extend for a further 10 years.
